What chiropractic care involves here
We focus on the musculoskeletal system: the spine, joints and muscles, and how you move. A first visit is an assessment. Your chiropractor takes a history, looks at how you move and load your spine, and explains what they find in plain English. You will be told what the options are. They may include manual care, lower-force techniques, movement and exercise guidance, doing nothing for now, or referral to your GP or another practitioner.
Care is individualised after that assessment; outcomes vary from person to person and depend on your individual situation. If we don't think we're the right fit, we'll say so and help point you in the right direction.
If you'd like to read more first, these general information pages describe what an assessment involves for common concerns. None of them replaces an individual assessment:
- What happens at a first chiropractic appointment
- What a chiropractor does
- Neck and desk-related tension
- Sciatica

What techniques does the clinic use?
Our chiropractors use a range of techniques, including Advanced Biostructural Correction (ABC), a full-body manual protocol, alongside diversified, Thompson drop, activator and other low-force techniques, dry needling and soft-tissue work. Technique is chosen after your assessment and with your consent. Some people prefer firmer hands-on adjusting; others prefer low-force care. You can ask for a lower-force approach at any point.
Who will I see?
ReFigure is a five-practitioner clinic. Our three chiropractors are registered with AHPRA: Dr Andrew Callister (Principal Chiropractor; a Psychology degree and Master of Chiropractic, with a background training and advising elite and Olympic-level athletes), Dr Mathew Cullen (a chiropractor with 19+ years in strength, conditioning and rehabilitation, using ABC, rehab and soft-tissue care) and Dr Natalie Hope (a former NSW volleyball representative and our female chiropractor, offering ABC, dry needling, IASTM, cupping and jaw/TMJ work). You can request a particular practitioner when you book. Alongside the chiropractic team, Laura Gutierrez is our Emotional Fitness Coach and Breathwork Facilitator and John Coady is our Counsellor and Psychotherapist. Meet the full team.
