Family Chiropractic Care in Mosman
ReFigure Chiropractic Health Centre is a warm, five-practitioner clinic in Mosman on Sydney's Lower North Shore, offering evidence-informed, individualised family chiropractic care. From busy parents managing back and neck strain to family members across different ages, we tailor gentle, musculoskeletal-focused care to each person — with no referral needed and appointments six days a week, including Saturday.
What is family chiropractic, and what does it involve?
Family chiropractic simply means one clinic that can look after different members of a household, with each person's care individualised to them. In practice, most of what we do is help the adults in the family — parents and carers whose backs, necks and shoulders take a hammering from lifting, carrying, feeding and broken sleep. A family chiropractor at ReFigure starts with a proper history and assessment, then plans evidence-informed, musculoskeletal care around your goals and stage of life.
Care is never one-size-fits-all. We draw on a range of gentle, modern techniques and always talk you through what we're doing and why. Outcomes vary from person to person, and we're upfront about that — the aim is to help you move and feel more comfortable, not to promise a quick fix.
Who is it for, and what can it help with?
We focus on musculoskeletal concerns — the aches and strains that get in the way of a busy family life. Care is always individualised, and outcomes vary, but parents and family members commonly come to us for support with:
- Back pain from lifting, carrying and bending over cots, prams and car seats
- Neck pain and "tech neck" from desk work and screen time
- Sciatica and related leg discomfort
- Headaches linked to neck tension and posture
- Posture support for parents at desks and on the go
- Sports niggles from staying active around family life
Being a warm, family-friendly clinic on the Lower North Shore, we try to make appointments convenient — including Saturdays — so care fits around school runs and work rather than the other way around.
Care for children — gentle, age-appropriate and honest
When it comes to children, our approach is deliberately conservative. Any care for a child is gentle, low-force and matched to their age and development, and it stays firmly within musculoskeletal support and comfort. We take the time to assess, to explain what we're seeing to you as the parent, and to be clear about the quality of evidence for anything we suggest.
For babies and infants, we do not use spinal manipulation — our emphasis is on careful assessment, reassurance and gentle, conservative care. We make no claim that chiropractic treats or prevents general childhood illness or non-musculoskeletal conditions; that's outside what chiropractic is for. We're happy to work alongside your GP or paediatrician, and if something falls outside our scope, we'll say so and refer on. Honest, cautious, family-centred care is the point.
What to expect on your first visit
Your first appointment is mostly about listening and assessing. We'll ask about your history, your current health and what you're hoping to get back to — whether that's picking up a toddler without wincing or sitting through a work day comfortably. From there we carry out a musculoskeletal assessment and talk you through what we've found in plain language.
If chiropractic looks like a sensible fit, we'll outline an individualised plan and start gently. If it isn't the right fit for what you're experiencing, we'll tell you honestly and help point you in the right direction. There's no pressure and no lock-in — just a clear, evidence-informed conversation about your options.
Techniques and approach
Our signature approach is Advanced Biostructural Correction (ABC) — a full-body manual protocol that looks at your posture and biomechanics as a whole, rather than treating one spot in isolation. Alongside ABC, our practitioners draw on diversified adjusting, Thompson drop, activator and other low-force options, dry needling and soft-tissue work. For anyone who prefers a gentler approach — and for care matched to a younger patient's age and stage — we have low-force techniques available, and your chiropractor works to your comfort throughout.
Who will I see?
ReFigure is led by Dr Andrew Callister (Principal), who holds a Psychology degree and a Master of Chiropractic, and who previously worked as a trainer advising Olympic athletes and supporting World-Championship ski and snowboard athletes. He's joined by Dr Mathew Cullen (19+ years in strength, conditioning and rehabilitation, working with ABC, rehab and soft-tissue care) and Dr Natalie Hope (a former NSW volleyball representative, offering ABC, dry needling, IASTM, cupping and TMJ care). Our wellness side includes Laura Gutierrez (Emotional Fitness Coach & Breathwork Facilitator) and John Coady (Counsellor & Psychotherapist). Meet the full team here.
Every person is different, so outcomes vary — your care is always assessed and planned around you. If chiropractic isn't the right fit for what you or a family member is experiencing, we'll say so and help point you in the right direction.
